Firepad Video System Requirements

Setup:

  • Requires basic understanding of router/firewall configuration, including IP addresses, ports, and port forwarding.

    Hardware:
  • Any wireless Palm OS handheld. This includes all Treos except the 700w.
  • Any PC running Windows 98, ME, 2000, XP or Vista.
  • Video capture card or USB webcam.
  • Wireless IP webcams are NOT compatible with Firepad video.
  • X10 analog wireless cameras may be used with Firepad video. Simply plug the X10 output into a video capture card in your PC.

    Drivers:
  • Webcam or capture card driver MUST be WDM (Windows Direct Media) compatible.
  • Driver and camera must support 352x288 resolution (most do).
  • Driver and camera must support either 16 or 24 bit color (most do).

    Software:
  • Firepad Picture Viewer for Palm.
  • FireProducer for Windows.
