2. Does FirePublisher work on Win 95, 98?
No, FirePublisher must be installed on Win NT, 2000, XP or Vista.
3. Can I use FireViewer / FirePublisher as a web browser?
Yes, the FirePublisher server can act as a gateway to the Web, letting you surf with FireViewer.
4. How can I get FirePublisher?
FirePublisher is available as unregistered shareware from Firepad's product page.
5. FirePublisher does not appear to be running. How can I check?
Go to the start menu. Start/Programs/Firepad/FirePublisher/FPController. The FirePublisher Control Panel appears with a status report. It will say if it is running or not running. If it is not running, Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel then double click on services. Check to see if FirePublisher is listed in the services and if it is running.
If FirePublisher is not listed then it may not be installed properly. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall FirePublisher. Reinstall by downloading the current version from firepad.
6. How do I see my HTML pages?
You must put your HTML documents and graphics into the htdocs folder of the Apache web server (or whatever web server you're using). Then in FireViewer on your device, go to open location in the options menu and enter the URL. For example: http://(your domain name or IP address)/index.html.
